MPT Solutions is owned by Quest Reliability LLC., a world leading provider of asset management, structural integrity and materials engineering services for syngas and oil and gas process plants, pipelines and power plants globally.

History

The origins of MPT Solutions date back to 1926 in New Zealand when a research and services capability in the areas of corrosion and metallurgy was established within the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR). In 1991 the DSIR restructured itself into several Crown Research Institutes (CRIs). The Materials Performance Technologies team of the DSIR became a part of the CRI known as Industrial Research Ltd.

On August 1st, 2006, MPT Solutions was purchased from Industrial Research by Quest Reliability LLC.
